    John, I have an SE Custom 24. As you know, the stock tuners are not very good as they seem to not hold tune after 10 minutes of playing. Do your new locking tuners start with a better base tuner before your modification? I was thinking about Schaller lockers, but like the looks of yours (keeping the PRS style).

      Linc, Our modified tuners are the same exact tuner as found on your existing PRS SE guitar. I find the tuners to work quite well with the string locking modification.

      Most common reasons for a strings not staying in tune are incorrect string installation, and not properly stretching out your strings. Please check out this video by the PRS Guitars PTC –
